Domaine Mon Mourel is located in the heart of Languedoc, near the city of Nimes and the famous "Pont du Gard" built by the Romans. Jeremie Costal is the owner and wine-maker. He prides himself in using traditional winemaking methods. His vineyard has been in the family for centuries.
Being close to the chalet of French dramatist Molière, Domaine de Mon Mourel used to provide wines to Molière and his entourage during summer parties.
The Red 2007 is a blend of 50% Syrah and 50% Grenache. It shows a vivid red color with shades of black cherries. It is a rich wine with a smooth nose. It has mellow tannins and a hint of spices. It is well rounded with a finish of fruits. It will pair with paella or couscous. It is also good with BBQ. Can be drunk slightly chilled. Cellaring up to 4 years.
