Red: Château Tour D'Auron
Château Tour D'Auron belongs to Xavier and Gerard Milhade. Their vineyard is located near the village of Fronsac, on the border of the famous Pomerol. The brothers produce what we would call a "Petit Château" in the Bordeaux area, in comparison to the Cru Classés and Cru Bourgeois.
This 2007 vintage is made of 100% Merlot. It shows a deep garnet color. The nose hints at licorice and leather. It is an elegant wine, round on the palate, with a soft finish. It has a good aging potential of 5 to 7 years. It will accompany well red meat, wild game, legs of lamb and strong cheeses.
